Storm's Echo

Storm´s Echo is a 3D science-fiction base defense game in which the player defends the core of their base against waves of enemies. Soon after the humans settled on the new planet Ura, they discovered that Radioactive storms corrupted the once friendly creatures and turned them into bloodthirsty monsters.

My Contributions:
Role: Vision Keeper & Generalist (Game Design, Programming, Art, Sound, etc.)
- Developed the game concept and core game loop and contributed to other game design tasks.
- Programmed automatic turret targeting of enemies, turret target list-system, and priority system.
- Programmed the bullet, force/explosion, ammunition, and shooting systems.
- Programmed enemy health, damage received/output, and death mechanics.
- Programmed the building health system, visual damage stages, destruction mechanics, and enemy damage mechanics.
- Programmed the mining systems.
- Programmed the enemy spawn system.
- Programmed and implemented the main menu and settings (UI, visuals, and code).
- Integrated multiple 3D assets from the artist into the game.
- Implemented enemy AI pathfinding to attack targets using Navmesh.
- Implemented post-processing effects.
- Implemented sounds and music.
- Optimized performance (culling, LODs, intensive use of the profiler).
- Modeled multiple 3D assets (Dual-Turret, Heavy-Turret, Wall-T1/T2, Reactor, Extractor, Rocket Launcher and multiple smaller assets).
- Created the trailer.
- Designed and created the cover art (3D in Blender).
